Welcome to the official

THE PEGGY SHOW website!

Created by John Beale and Graham Percy

After 5 years of running The Peggy Show, John Beale will be starting the next project. The Peggy Show was written after Beale studied with Philippe Gaulier in Paris, and this spring he has been granted to return for a masters session specializing in clown. Afterward, Beale will craft a new show, which will open next summer in Peggy’s Cove brought to you by Old Red Schoolhouse Productions, (a division of Beales' Bailiwick Ltd).

On Monday September 22nd, 2008 at 7PM there was a celebration of the closing of The Peggy Show in benefit of Beale’s next creation to open in Summer 2009. Performances by Tanya Davis, Becky Siamon, Tim Crabtree, Mike Pellerin, Alison McDougall, Ian Sherwood, a trio of Gypsophilians and other surprise guests.

Donations to Old Red Schoolouse Productions can be made anytime by sending a cheque to Theatre Nova Scotia, 1113 Marginal Road, Halifax, Nova Scotia, B3H 4P7, payable to Theatre Nova Scotia with Old Red Schoolhouse Productions on the memo line. "Brilliantly executed physical comedy..... The packed audience, toddlers to seniors, laughed from start to finish."

Andrea Nemets, Chronicle Herald

When you studied in my school in Paris I recognized you as a great
actor. When I saw your show I recognized a great writer, poet and actor. But I knew it already. Thanks for your show. Your friend,  Philippe Gaulier

"A brilliant combination of physical comedy and wit, at once intelligent and heartfelt, which takes the tradition of Commedia del'Arte and its successors -- Shakespeare and Moliere -- to new heights. I loved this show. It is a 45-minute, sidesplitting roller coast ride through the history of Peggy's Cove which ends at Gate 3 of your friendly neighbourhood tour bus line. Get your ticket before there are none left to be had."

Ed Schroeter: Artistic Director of Heritage Pavilion Stage, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, July 28, 2006.
